About Style My Venue

I’m Liz Ewing your local venue styling expert. At Style My Venue we provide a genuine, personal  service - helping you to create the dream setting for your event, whether it is a wedding, private party or corporate gathering.

There are so many aspects of the job that I love from meeting my clients for a coffee and a chat about their plans and vision right through to making it a reality on the big day. I know I’m doing something right when I get emails after a consultation saying how comfortable and confident they are that I am going to be involved in the day – and that is what it is all about – TRUST.

We can help you with your venue styling in the location of your choice, from village halls and marquees to 5 star hotels. We set the scene, so you can enjoy the event.

Chairs and  Covers

Chair covers are not as simple as your think! An important thing to think about is whether to go for lycra or cotton chair covers. There are many pros and cons for each of them, and I can explain and show you the difference between them.  However, I tend to use cotton chair covers which are classic and traditional and of a high quality, so you don’t have to worry about them appearing out of fashion when you look back on your wedding album.

If I were getting married, I would much prefer these.  Don’t worry about the size as we have a wide range of sizes to fit most venues chairs.

Then you have to think about the sash that will wrap around each of your guest’s seats. Organza and Taffeta in lots of different colours; Hessian and Lace are yet more options which are becoming popular and can add to your particular theme.  I have hoods and chiffon wraps to give the chairs that bespoke look for your event.  The sashes can be tied in different designs – there is not just the traditional bow at the back – you’d be amazed at what I can do with a sash!!

As you can see just from the description of chair covers, there’s a lot to think about if you want to recreate that fairytale look – then there are all the other bits and bobs like crystal embellishments, jewels, buckles and flowers in the sashes – the options can be endless.  I love working with my clients to create a wonderful individual effect for their wedding – after all it is that special day.

Starlight Curtain Backdrop

This is a high quality professional white light curtain made from gorgeous chiffon fabric with swags running along the top and falling softly to the ground with LED lights incorporated in the backing fabric (no fairy lights hanging down).  There are also the coordinating table valances to compliment the backdrop to make any venue look amazing.


A wide range of candelabra from shabby chic to classical.  All can be left plain or dressed simply with flowers or ivy twisted around them.  Ostrich feather centrepieces in different colours. Gold fish bowls, martini vases, lily vases – all decorated in different ways.

Sparkling Table Skirts

Extra Finishing Touches

Post Box:
The Traditional Post box is a great way to keep your cards, vouchers and money safe!  -Your guests will love the novelty of posting their cards, gift vouchers or best wishes notes into the box . The napkins can be dressed up to match your theme, adding something special to the table.

Aisle Carpet:
Walking down the aisle is a dream come true for many brides and the perfect way to do this is on an ivory carpet strewn with rose petals.  A sight to cherish and remember.

Marquees - Themed by Style My Venue

Marquees can provide the ideal setting for your special day.  Marquees can cater for wedding receptions from 50 to 1000 guests. You can tailor the internal finish of the marquee to your taste, from traditional, contemporary even themed.

We can create different functional spaces and marquee layouts such as a reception area for pre dinner drinks, lounge areas, entertainment areas, child friendly spaces, catering facilities, cloakrooms, restrooms…marquees can be designed totally around your special requirements.
